Warm-Up Program: Part 2

The goal is to progressively reach the ideal tempo of movement on the court.

Key Points

  • Do 6 calf pumps then walk your feet in
  • Instead of the calf pump into the centipedes, you can do knee drive over the toes into the feet sweep
  • Do 5 reps on each side
  • The toe touch to side lunge challenges coordination
  • The aim is to eventually reach the tempo of movement on a court
  • Start slow and get the movement pattern correct before increasing speed
  • Do 5 of these on each side of the body
  • Gradually increase the speed once you have mastered the movement
  • Do 5 sets on each side
