Key Points

  • WARM-UP ONE: 50% Forehand to Forehand
  • Start at 50 to 60% speed and gradually increase, placing the ball to your partners backhand or forehand volley
  • Work on keeping the ball out in front, punching it straight ahead
  • Gradually increase to full speed forehand volleys when comfortable
  • Do not try to "body bag" your opponent in the drill however you can "get a little bit more aggressive"
  • DRILL TWO: Backhand to Backhand
  • Keep the paddle out in front, over the kitchen line
  • DRILL THREE: Figure 8
  • One player is hitting crosscourt while the other player hits down the line
